What is your return & exchange policy?

To initiate an exchange or return, and to receive a return label, please have your order number available and visit our online exchange & return portal.

Full-Price Apparel and Full-Price Apparel purchased at Promotional Pricing are eligible for Store Credit or Exchanges are eligible for an extended 30-Day window, with free return shipping.

Full-Price Apparel and Full-Price Apparel purchased at Promotional Pricing are eligible for refund with a 10-Day window. The buyer may furnish a return shipping label, or MBS can provide one and will deduct the value from the return total.

All non-apparel goods are final sale.

Sale items purchased with an additional discount, i.e. "Sale on Sale" or any other promotional code are considered final sale. Items purchased at our Biannual Studio Sale are final sale.

We reserve the right to reject returns or exchanges if an item shows signs of wear, damage, odor or the request is submitted after the outlined return and exchange windows above.

After an item has been exchanged once, the original purchase value can only be issued as store credit in the case of further return or exchange.

What are your shipping policies?

We ship Tuesday through Saturday.

Domestic orders over $200 ship free.

Shipping fees for Domestic orders under $200 are based on carrier rates and currently available options will display at checkout. We also offer the option of $10 flat rate shipping fee via USPS Priority.

International shipping is available via multiple carriers, with rates based on weight, speed and destination. For international orders, please note: custom duties may apply – all applicable customs fees, taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. By law, we are required to state the value of your order directly on the package. It is the sole discretion of customs agents to release your package. Please understand that we can’t be held responsible for delays occurring due to shipping provider, misstatement of your shipping address, damages that occur during shipment and your destination’s customs.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to Australia due to COVID restrictions.

Do you offer Price Adjustments?

From time to time retail prices may change. Miranda Bennett Studio gladly honors a one-time price adjustment for full-price merchandise within seven days of the purchase date, if accompanied by the original proof of purchase. Only items purchased at full price directly from Miranda Bennett Studio are eligible for price adjustments. 

Price adjustments will be credited to your account in the form of store credit. We are unable to offer price adjustments on items where the original purchase price was already reduced/discounted. We cannot offer price adjustments for items purchased through other retailers. 

What happens if my package is lost or stolen?

Lost or Stolen Packages:

Lost items will be processed through insurance claims with the shipper. Please notify us if it has been more than 14 days since your order has shipped and it is still shown as in transit. We will do our best to work with the shipper to file and process a claim, however, this process can be lengthy and we are at the mercy of the shipper's process.

Please note that once an item has left our hands, we are no longer in control of its transit and must rely on the same tracking resources provided to the customer.

MBS is not responsible for item theft after proof of delivery.

Mis-delivered items will be refunded when the goods are received back by MBS. 

We encourage our customers to only enter shipping addresses that they know to be secure and not prone to misplacement or theft. 

How does your Sizing work?

Our apparel is a mix of one-size and sized items, with easy shapes and adjustable elements. We are currently in the process of resizing our entire collection, for the most up to date sizing information, we recommend referring to each product profile. Why Plant Dyes?

Dyeing textiles with plants dates back to antiquity and we are honored to participate in the rich legacy of this medium, creating a continuum with the past and a bridge to a brighter future.

Our colors have come exclusively from botanical and natural sources since our inception in 2013. We have been pioneering plant based dyeing at scale in-house in the USA and zero waste, perennial designs ever since.

Using plant based dyes ensures that we are keeping harsh chemicals out of our waterways and off of your bodies. Our colors are both drain and people safe, allowing us to protect the in-house, Austin based team who dyes, cuts and sews every single item that we produce, the planet we are lucky enough to live on and you, our customers who live with our apparel and accessories. 

How do I care for my MBS Garment?

Generally, caring for plant dyed garments is pretty straightforward once you know a few key things to be aware of.

When washing:

Dilute a mild, pH neutral detergent in cool water(examples include: ECOS, 7th Generation, Eucalan & Woolite). Submerge your garment in the soapy water, briefly agitating before allowing it to soak. Rinse with cool water. Hang or lay flat to dry, away from direct sun.

Please avoid:

Stain sticks and spot treatments, oxy-bleach, bleach, baking soda/sodium bicarbonate based cleansers.

We strive to develop plant dye formulas that are easy to live with and care for. Each new color formulation we create in-house is run through several tests before we begin to dye in scale. 

I stained my garment!

Some plant dyes are sensitive to highly acidic substances (like lemon/lime juice, white white & coffee/tea) or Baking Soda based deodorants. This sensitivity can lead to a reaction and can often be reversed with a soak in cold water. Please refer to our Garment Care Guide for everything you need to know about treating reactions.

If your reactions is irreversible and you purchased your naturally dyed garment in the last six months, please contact us with a picture of the damage, your order number or original proof of purchase (if purchased from one of our retail partners). Once approved, we will provide you with a complimentary return shipping label. Upon receiving your item, we will issue you a store credit for the order value, which will be valid for one year. This offer is valid for the purchase of one replacement item, all purchases made with this credit will be final sale and ineligible for further returns or exchanges. We allow each customer one individual return based on dye reactions, and we cannot offer credit for customers with repeat dye reactions.

Please note that items purchased at our Studio Sale or already discounted for dye instability are not eligible for this program. Please also note that we do not take responsibility for stains caused by common stain agents (like oil, red wine, pen/marker, bleach, etc).

Where is your collection produced?

The short answer? We make everything here.

All of our items, from apparel to zero waste accessories, are produced under one roof in Austin, TX, USA. This includes formulating and plant dye our collection, as well as sewing and sorting our scraps for future products. Our orders are all fulfilled from our Austin store.

Our black items are conventionally dyed with low-impact dyes in California and our fabrics come from a network of global suppliers. We only work with fabrics that are biodegradable and derived from natural sources.
